As college students, most of us don’t have time or just don’t want to get up early in the morning and get full glam. I know I definitely don’t. Here is a simple 10 minute makeup look to make you look refreshed and awake!

You can start off with foundation. I won’t be listing suggestions for foundation because 1) I don’t wear foundation because I don’t like the way it looks on my skin and 2) everyone has different skin types and different expectations for their foundations. I suggest watching a YouTube video that can help you find a good foundation for you! Another option is BB cream. BB cream is a much lighter formula that looks more skin like and isn’t as thick as foundation.

After blending this out with your sponge, or brush (or even your hands just make sure to wash them before!), you can use concealer to brighten your under eyes and make yourself look more awake if want to, you can definitely do it! After blending everything out, set your face with setting powder to ensure it stays on all day.

Here’s some of my personal favorite and some recommendations on products:

Sponges

  1. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge: $4.89

  2. EcoTools Total Perfecting Blender: $4.99

Brushes

  1. Real Techniques Foundation Brush: $3.99

  2. E.l.f. Selfie Ready Foundation Brush: $6

Powder

  1. Maybelline FitMe! Loose Setting Powder: $5.99

  2. Airspun Loose Powder: $5.99

After setting your face with powder, you can add some blush. Blush helps add some color to your face; to help your cheeks look more rose-y. After you can apply some highlight to the top of your cheek bones. I hope this guide can help you know where to apply your makeup!

Tip: Add some setting spray to your brush then dip into your highlighter and apply it for a more blinding glow.

Blush

  1. Milani Rose Powder Brush: $6.99

  2. Physicians Formula Butter Muru Blush: $7.29

  3. Wet n Wild Blush: $2.99

Highlighter

  1. Elf Baked Highlighter: $2.99

  2. Maybelline Face Studio Master Chrome Highlighter: $7.99

  3. NYX Born To Glow Highlighter: $9.99-$11.99

Now that we’re done with the face, we can move on to the eyes. Apply mascara to your eyelashes. I won’t be listing mascara suggestions because everyone’s eyelashes are different and depending on whether you want volume, length, or a curl, the mascara varies. So, find one that works best for you! Also, because this is a quick 10 minute makeup look, eyeshadow is optional.

Tip: Curl your eyelashes, add mascara, wait for mascara to dry, and then curl your eyelashes again.

For lips you can use a clear lip gloss or a lip gloss with a slight tint to it. I have tried many lip glosses and the only lip gloss that I truly like is the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb ($18) it is a little more pricey, but it’s so worth it! You can also use a pink or nude lipstick for a more everyday look. My personal favorite formula is Colourpop Cosmetics Lippie Stix, or the Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick. (I have very dry lips so I don’t like matte formulas #sadlife)

After this you can do your hair, put on your hoops, and SLAY the rest of the day!
