Happy Place is the newest addition to Emily Henry’s catalog, with its release being set for April 25, 2023. Her books are especially good reads for the spring and summer. Here’s a look back at some of her past books in preparation for the latest release.

Beach Read

Arguably her most popular book, Beach Read follows January Andrews and Augustus Everett, two authors that are total opposites. They spend the summer living in neighboring houses at a lake in Michigan trying to write a successful book of the other’s genre. To help with this, they each take turns bringing the other on date-like journeys to inspire each other’s writing.

People We Meet on Vacation

This book’s leading couple is Alex and Poppy. The two have been best friends since college, Poppy being the outgoing wild child and Alex being the more introverted bookworm. Every year, they take a vacation together until two years before the start of the book, something happens that almost completely destroys their relationship. The book visits past and present timelines of the two as they navigate their feelings and what went wrong.

Book Lovers

Book Lovers is my favorite so far from her catalog, having just been released in 2022. Nora is a type A literary agent who agrees to take a trip with her sister Libby to a small town in North Carolina. There she keeps running is Charlie, a book editor from New York City whom she has not only met before but had several negative encounters with. They grow closer as they collaborate over work.

Happy Place

Yet to be released, this book looks to explore the break up of Wyn and Harriet, who have not told their best friends they have been split for six months. They, therefore, are now stuck sharing a bedroom on the group’s yearly vacation at a cottage in Maine. They decide to spend that week pretending to be together to not upset their friends. Can they successfully fake it in front of their friends?
