As the holiday season rolls in with the chill  and Christmas cheer in the air, I am reminded how excited I am for the holiday. I am happy to see Christmas decorations, songs, candles, cookies, and the beloved Christmas movies.. Many of my friends and family feel the same sense of love and emotions as I do watching favorite Christmas films. I think the reason I love Christmas movies isn’t only the nostalgia that comes with them, though.

The reason I love Christmas movies so much has a lot to do with the magic that. They all have such an aspect of enchantment that plays with the imagination. As a child I believed that it actually was all real, that this world held this unexplained wonder and magic that was displayed in movies like Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and even live-action movies such as The Santa Clause.

All these movies \ felt so exciting and happy when I was a child because they were; they still are. Honestly, now that I am a young adult, those feelings haven’t gone away. I still wholeheartedly enjoy these movies from my childhood. From White Christmas to Santa Claus is Coming to Town and every one in between, they still bring wonder to my life.

I think they are optimistic and show true cheer in people and animals alike. They show wonderful friendship and family aspects in them and typically a message of giving and spreading cheer, which I am all about.

I will never grow out of my love for Christmas movies, and I can happily live that way. This crazy end to my fall semester will be made just a little bit sweeter when I can cozy up with loved ones to watch a holiday classic. (I also do need some of the unexplained Christmas magic to help me finish this semester up.)
