It’s been a rough last few weeks. Between getting sick, finals week looming, and being generally overwhelmed, I’ve caught myself being negative more often than not. But with Thanksgiving right around the corner, I’ve been trying to remind myself of all the little things I have to be thankful for, and it always puts me in a better mood.
1. Game Day

I LIVE for college basketball. Catch me waking up at 5 am for lottery and sitting in Allen Fieldhouse camping all week. Nothing puts me in a better mood than sitting in the student section with my best friend.
2. Restaurants that deliver

I’m from a tiny town that has no delivery food. At. All. Being able to order Jimmy Johns to my house at 1 am is something I never knew I needed, and now I can’t live without.
3. “Class is canceled” emails

4. Coffee

I’m pretty sure the cold brew from McLains is the sole reason I’m not failing any classes right now.
5. Concerts

I’ve been to two this week. Responsible? No. Worth it? Absolutely.
6. Yoga pants

I don’t remember the last time I wore jeans. Seriously, leggings are heavenly and anyone who chooses to wear jeans instead is crazy.
7. Ramen noodles

Yeah, they’re basically just sodium and 90% of the reason we all gained 15 pounds freshman year, but they’re like 20 cents, stupid easy to make, and lowkey good.
8. College friends

When they say you’ll meet your best friends in college, they’re not lying. I can count on my friends that I’ve known for a year more than people I’ve known my whole life. They’re the best.
