Campus Cutie: Kimba the Puppy

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kenyon chapter.

Name: Kimba
Breed: Shepard-Husky mix
Year: First-year resident puppy
Hometown: Originally from Cincinnati, now kickin’ it in the ‘bier
Major: Tail chasing
Campus Involvement: Wooing the ladies, being cute

HerCampus Kenyon got the priveleged opportunity of sitting down with undoutbedly the cutest catch on campus: Kimba the Puppy. Whether you already know this pup intimately or have been dying for a chance to learn something about him, read on for an exclusive interview with this new resident cutie.

1. Name one thing no one at Kenyon knows about you.
I love running in the leaves. They’re so crunchy, and fun, and crunchy!

2. What talent do you wish you had?
All I want in the world is the ability to catch my tail.

3. What has been the best part about being a first year so far?
Getting so much attention at parties, probably.

4. Describe your dream job.
I would love to be a bacon taste-tester. I could eat bacon all day, every day.

5. Best book you read this year?
I found the See Spot Run chapter from Dick and Jane to be a real page-turner, so much suspense.

6. What are some of your pet peeves?
When other dogs go to the bathroom on my tree. I hate unoriginality.

7. Who are your heroes?
Lady and the Tramp (separately, and together…what a power couple!) Oh, and all the Dalmatians. Yep, all 100 of ‘em. You really can’t single out just one.

8. If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life what would it be and why?
Who Let the Dogs Out.

9. If you were president of Kenyon for 24 hours, what would you do first?
Make this campus more dog friendly–especially the Market. How’s a dog going to get his snack fix if all of the good food at the market is up so high?

10. If you were stranded on an island, what three things could you not live without?
Bacon, a chew toy, and one of the friends I’ve made at Kenyon so far.

11. Any closing thoughts?
As Campus Cutie, I just want to get a woof out to all of the Kenyon ladies that have shown me love. You can give me a belly rub any time!

Ally Bruschi is a senior political science major at Kenyon College. She spent this past summer interning as a writer with both The Daily Meal, a digital media group  dedicated to "all things food and drink" and The Borgen Project, a non-profit organization that partners with U.S. policymakers to alleviate global poverty. Before entering the "real world" of jobs, however, Ally spent many summers as a counselor at an all-girls summer camp in Vermont, aka the most wonderful place on earth. A good book, a jar of peanut butter, a well-crafted Spotify playlist, and a lazy dog could get her through even the worst of days.
