This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kenyon chapter.

We at HerCampus Kenyon can now say we have interviewed the John Foley. John wows us every day with his wit, intellect, and charm…and we were finally lucky enough to get him to answer some very crucial questions. Read on to find out all you ever wanted to know about the legend himself.

Name: John Foley
Hometown: Belmont, MA
Year: Junior (Class of 2015)
Age: 21
Major/Minor: English and Women’s and Gender Studies
Relationship Status: Single

HCK: Marry, F*uck, Kill: Child stars Gone Wrong Edition: Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Bynes?
JF: This question has sparked a vigorous debate amongst my friends, but after much consideration: f*ck Miley (cuz she’s wild), marry Lindsay (because she’s got some Robert Downey Jr. comeback material in her), kill Amanda.

What do you look for in a guy?
Intelligence, humor, a driver’s license…

What turns you off?
Bad poetry.

What female fashion trend do you despise?
People taking Karl Lagerfeld seriously as a fashion influence…or as a human being in general.

Best TV show you’ve ever seen?
Summerland. It’s a hidden gem.

What’s your stance on manscaping?
I’m not really sure, but I did meet someone this summer who described himself as a “manscaping addict” and THAT is a fascinating concept.

What’s something you wish people at Kenyon knew about you?
I was kicked out of a Karate class in 6th grade for being “woefully clumsy” in the words of the instructor.

You can only listen to one song for the rest of your life. What is it?
“Ultimate You” from Freaky Friday. Hands down the best love song of all time.

What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done?
Someone once made me a kale smoothie on a date, and because I liked them I had to pretend it was the best smoothie I’d ever had.

Professor crush?
That’s too hard…there’s so many to choose from.

The surefire way to win you over?
Buy me a wall! (or just actually get the reference…)

A retro trend you wish would make a come back?
I really miss TRL. That show really changed the world.

Emma spends her summers as Assistant Director at a Jewish performing arts camp. Emma is thrilled to be in her second year as co-Campus Correspondent for Kenyon's HC chapter.  Emma was a founding staff member of her high school's online magazine, and her writings have also been published on the FBomb. She is passionate about girls' education, Jimmy Fallon, iced tea, Ireland, Cleveland, and SmartWool socks.
Ally Bruschi is a senior political science major at Kenyon College. She spent this past summer interning as a writer with both The Daily Meal, a digital media group  dedicated to "all things food and drink" and The Borgen Project, a non-profit organization that partners with U.S. policymakers to alleviate global poverty. Before entering the "real world" of jobs, however, Ally spent many summers as a counselor at an all-girls summer camp in Vermont, aka the most wonderful place on earth. A good book, a jar of peanut butter, a well-crafted Spotify playlist, and a lazy dog could get her through even the worst of days.
