It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas time! Shopping for Christmas gifts can be hard as a college student, there’s a lot of limiting factors to getting gifts. Maybe you don’t have a car and aren’t able to drive to Target or the mall, or maybe you don’t have a job currently and desperately need inexpensive gifts.

Whatever your struggle may be, this is your go-to list for Christmas shopping in Kent, Ohio. Complete with varying price points and varying distances from campus. Happy shopping!

Kent State University Bookstore

Distance from campus: Literally on campus!

Price point: $-$$$$

The options for gifts are honestly endless at the bookstore, and lucky for us it’s literally right in the center of campus.

Not only can you grab your family some Kent State swag to rep your school, but they also have a ton of great gifts.

Have a super creative sibling? Get them some art supplies or a journal! Know someone that loves to read? The bookstore has books fro, EVERY genre, including some bestsellers! Wanna spend the big bucks on someone who loves technology? Grab them airpods or the newest iPad, the bookstore has a large variety of Apple products!

You can never go wrong with a plushie of Flash!

(I will say, the bookstore DEFINITELY upcharges their items – so keep that in mind when you go to shop there!)

Hippie Fox Rocks

Distance from campus: Acorn Alley in Downtown Kent – Less than five minute drive OR less than 20 minute walk! (Depending on your location on campus)

Price point: $-$$

Hippie Fox Rocks is the BEST place in Downtown Kent to buy crystals, and who doesn’t love crystals? BUT, for the rare person that doesn’t love crystals, Hippie Fox Rocks luckily sells a lot more than just that.

The array of crystals at Hippie Fox Rocks is jaw-dropping, you name it – they probably have it! Not only is the variety super impressive, but so are the prices! Most of their small sized crystals are only $3! (Which i’ll admit has led to be spending a LOT more than $3…)

You cannot beat those prices, and along with that all crystals in the store are fairly prices to be as cost effective as possible! No one wants to be up-charged for crystals.

Like I said, they have a lot more than just crystals. They have an insane amount of stickers, jewelry, candles, soaps, tote bags, dreamcatchers and more! These items are also prices insanely well, making it the perfect gift stop for any college student.

Off The Wagon/Red Letter Days

Distance from campus: Acorn Alley in Downtown Kent – Less than five minute drive OR less than 20 minute walk! (Depending on your location on campus)

Price point: $-$$

This combined store is AMAZING! I love it so much and honestly find it hard not to stop in everytime i’m in Downtown Kent. My family always stops by when they come to visit, so this store truly has it all.

It’s hard to describe what they sell here – because they literally sell everything. If you have no clue what to get someone for Christmas, I PROMISE you you’ll find something here. There’s lots of stuffed animals, games, gag gifts, stickers, journals and honestly so much more that if I listed it all it’d take up way too much space!

This place truly is the one-stop-shop for gift giving.

And that’s my top recommendations for places to shop for gifts in Kent, Ohio! You don’t need to stray too far from campus to get you Christmas shopping done, and you also don’t need to break the bank!

Happy Holidays!
