A shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas on Sunday night left at least 59 people dead and more than 527 injured, making it the deadliest mass shooting in American history. The gunman was on the 32nd floor of a Las Vegas Strip casino when he started shooting at the crowd, which resulted in frantic screaming and people running for their lives.
Chaos erupted while singer Jason Aldean, the headliner, was playing.
After Aldean was safe he posted on social media an image of Las Vegas with the words “Pray for Las Vegas.”
Since then, the hashtag “#prayforvegas” has been trending on Twitter. The hashtag has presented a platform for people, and even celebrities to voice their opinion on terrorism and gun control in America. Here are some of the emotional tweets about the tragedy in Las Vegas.
Times like this really put into question what our President is really about. Will this act of terror cause him to rethink his views on gun control or will we keep having these issues until someone sees the light? Mass shootings are becoming more and more common as the years go on. Instead of them being controlled, the casualties are growing.
