Meet Freshman Annelise Roser! As a fashion major at one of the top fashion programs in the country, she is always busy with her work. Not only does she attend class, but she works with various fashion clubs and leadership clubs, has modeled for multiple fashion shows put on at Kent, and even co-founded a fashion club on campus.

HerCampus (HC): What activities are you involved in here at Kent?

Annelise Roser (AR): Provost Leadership Academy, Fashion Student Organization, and I’m also the co-founder and president of FASH-ology.

HC: Tell me about FASH-ology! What do you do?

AR: It’s a club where we are building the bridge between fashion and technology. Since it was just started this year, we’re setting an agenda for next year. We are going to be doing projects that have to do with computer aided designs.

HC: Have you always wanted to be a fashion major? Why?

AR: Yes, since 7th grade. It’s always been a passion of mine! I’ve never had any doubts.

HC: What would be your ideal job with your fashion degree?

AR: Ideally, either the producer for the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, or be a Fashion Stylist and work in the closet at Vogue Magazine.

HC: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

AR: Working in New York City at a major fashion company.

HC: When you’re not busy with your school work, what do you like to do in your free time?

AR: I like spending time with my friends, I love Snapchatting, and I was in percussion in high school. I still try to be involved with my school drumline when I’m home!

HC: If you weren’t going to work in the fashion industry, what would you do with your life?

AR: I would want to be a doctor. I think it’s really impressive how they know so much and how they save lives every day.

HC: What advice would you give to high school students considering entering Kent’s fashion program?

AR: Be prepared to put in a lot of time and effort into your work. It’s a demanding major, but it’s worth it if you’re passionate about it like I am.
