3 Hair Products to Get You Through the Winter Months

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kent State chapter.
The winter is brutal on a girl’s hair and it tends to suck the moisture right out. We lack that shine and luster we had during the warm months of June and July due to the change in climate. Most winter days, we try to protect our ears from the frigid Kent wind by wearing a hat. This smothers our roots and emilinates any volume we once had.

To prevent these horrible travesties on your hair, here are just a few products to help you out during the winter months. All you need to know is a single brand: OGX Beauty Pure and Simple. This organic brand is essential in every girl’s life. It contains vitamins and proteins to treat hair similar to the way a salon would.

The first product every girl needs is OGX’s shampoo and conditioner. My personal favorite is “thick & full biotin & collagen.” This high performance blend is infused with vitamin B7 biotin, and protein to give your hair the right luster and volume to get the confidence from the summer months back!

The second product I recommend is the “moroccan curling perfection, defining cream.” This defining cream, containing Moroccan argon oil, will revive any damage one has already done to their hair. Since the winter causes more frizz, this cream will help to smooth out the kinks, frizz and unwanted fly-a-ways.

Finally, try the “argan oil of morocco penetrating oil.” This product is a necessity after every shower to strengthen your hair. This oil will give your hair a soft, silky appearance; however, use it in moderation because if over-used, your hair can look oily rather then silky smooth.

Hopefully a few of these products will help you and your hair survive these cold winter months here at Kent State University. Stay warm, and stay beautiful ladies!
