We all have these preconceived notions about what our college experience is going to be like. After surviving through my first semester, I’ve decided to debunk some of these ideals high school seniors have.
- Making Friends is Sooooo Easy
-
You always hear that your best friends are made in college, but don’t try to hold yourself to that and force relationships. It’s hard to stay on top of new relationships when you have the culture change of a new environment, coursework, and your health.
- High School Preps You for College
-
No matter how good your high school is, nothing is going to give you the exact preparation for college besides college itself. You earn so much about everything within that first semester, so don’t stress it if you’re still lost when you get here.
- College is Going to be the Best Time Of Your Life
-
We see college students living it up on TV and social media, but always remember that no one is showing their bad moments for the world to see. College isn’t always rainbows and happiness; it’s okay for you to feel down as long as you can get the right help and pick yourself back up.
