Unique Style on Kean Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Kean chapter.

Walking around campus has not been very fun the past few days with the cold temperature and icy wind. In addition, it is not easy to be fashionable during this type of weather. Wearing big bulky jackets and thick warm clothes doesn’t always make the chicest outfit. Even worse, everywhere you look are red noses and rosy cheeks from being wind burnt. It is not enjoyable nor is it helpful. Fashionistas have a hard decision to make: be warm and hide your trendy outfit or risk the frost bite and show of your style?

Well our very own Nicole Walker has found a way to do both!

Flattered that we loved her look, but too shy to remark, Nicole declined to comment on her outfit. But no worries, we have a lot to say about it.

A sophomore at Kean studying Sociology, Nicole doesn’t let the cold ruin her stylish side. Wearing a navy blue puffer jacket with a long knit beige scarf, she is the epitome of “hot” fashion. The jacket and scarf will keep her nice and toasty, but also looking good.

Not stopping there, our fashionista’s accessories are the most adorable things that we have ever seen. Her tan, lace up boots are girly and adorable, but with a hint of masculinity. Plus they are great for walking around campus in this cold weather.

Another great accessory not too often seen are Nicole’s earmuffs. Black fuzzy sides with a black and white plaid band, it’s the cutest earmuffs seen on campus, if not the only ones. Nicole could have stopped there, showing off her own amazing style, but she didn’t. Nicole adds just a little taste of her unique style by adding a sparkly black bow to one side of her headband. How awesome and adorable is that?

Nicole we totally approve your style. And we kinda want to copy it too!

"Just a girl trying new things!"Brigit Bauma was born in South/Central New Jersey on a farm of all things! Now she always knew that she wasn't born for the farm life, but she gained some great experiences from growing up on one. She wouldn't trade it for the world. She graduated in the top 10 of her high school and recieved the NJSTARS scholarship to go to her community college and earn her Associates degree. Brigit at first went for Nursing, but through a hard semester, found that even though she enjoyed the people and helping others, it was not for her. Always a lover of the arts, Brigit tried out for the musical and got cast as a minor role, which was huge! This helped her find that she wanted to pursue a degree in the arts. Brigit graduated with her Associates in English and Theater. She also earned a 3.75 gpa which qualified her for the NJSTARSII scholarship which she can use to go to a 4 year public school in New Jersey and get her Bachelors degree. Because Brigit wishes to pursue an editing job for a publishing company or magazine, she decided to go to Kean which is close to the city and she can hop on a train right by her school! Brigit has lots of cougar pride and would love to share her love for the arts, fashion, boys, and college experience with everyone!
