Major: Media Arts and Design
Minor: Religious studies
Campus Involvement?
I’m an Operations Assistant at the Student Success Center, and I’ve been on the film committee in UPB since my sophomore year.
What inspired you to pursue a religious studies minor?
I was never religious growing up, but I took GREL 101 with Dr. Flannery, and she is like pretty much the coolest religion professor ever. I just thought it was really interesting so I was like, “Why not?” It’s really cool because you get to learn about all religions across the world.
What’s you favorite class currently?
I’m in a fiction writing class which is really cool because I get to read others’ works and figure out how to make myself better as a writer.
Dream job?
My dream job is to make movie trailers, which is really bizarre and specific, but I like how excited you can make people about movies. It’s like marketing, but you get to be really creative.
Favorite place on campus?
TDU. It’s like the most college-y place on campus. It has all the pool tables, and it used to be a coffee shop, but now it’s pretzels, which I’m totally okay with.
Favorite UPB memory?
Last year, we all did sunrise at Reddish Knob which was really fun. I loved it because I’d never been there or gone hiking before, but it was amazing.
Cats or dogs?
Dogs
If you could have dinner with one celeb, who would it be?
Julie Andrews. I love her so much; I was Mary Poppins for Halloween.
Dream vacation spot?
Italy—maybe Rome. I’ve never been there so I’d love to go. I have family there so I could hit them up and be like, “Hey, feed me pasta”.
You’re studying abroad in Prague; what are you most looking forward to?
Probably the food and the architecture because it’s been there for hundreds and hundreds of years. I’m really excited to see all of that.
