Devin is a single, junior from Manalapan, New Jersey majoring in Writing Seminars and Italian and minoring in Psychology. She is a sister of Kappa Kappa Gamma, a member of the Blue Key Society, and an Admissions Representative, as well as the Arts and Entertainment Editor of the JHU News-Letter.
In addition to her homework and all of her other extracurricular commitments, Devin also makes time to regularly contribute to Seventeen Magazine. Her summer internship there only reinforced her already healthy obsession with journalism and desire to pursue a career in either fashion or magazine editorial. In terms of the near future, however, Devin is focused on preparing to head abroad to Italy in the spring. She’s currently anticipating her upcoming studies at the Università di Bologna with simultaneous enthusiasm, nervousness and fear. Says Devin of the next few months, “I’m really excited about being able to visit some of my Hopkins friends studying in other parts of Europe. But I’m equally upset about leaving my other friends and family behind – I love this place, and don’t want to think about how much I’ll be missing out on.”
Devin loves Modern Family (because it is one of the funniest and best-written shows currently on television), Donna’s truffle oil macaroni and cheese (because it is objectively one of the most delicious foods in the world), and Ryan Gosling (this love needs no explanation).
Also, she was born on February 29th. How cool is that?
