Two New Emerging Female Artists I’m Obsessed With!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Jefferson chapter.

Here’s the deal, I am ALWAYS on the hunt for new music. I crave that addictive feeling you get when you discover a new song. It’s an instant serotonin boost that just scratches a very specific part of your brain. And you find yourself playing this song on repeat until you’re literally sick of it.

Once I find one of these one-of-a-kind songs, I tend to go stalking the artist’s discography. For me, this can be a hit or miss. Either I fall in love with everything about the artist’s work, or I simply fall in love with one or two of their songs. But as of recently, I have found not one, but two artists who I have completely fallen in love with. So I have decided to give them both a little shout out and recommend that you go check them out ASAP!

  1. Abby Cates
    • Abby Cates is an indie-pop artist who has four released singles on Spotify. Including one of my all-time favorite songs to blast in the car, “saw ur mom at the grocery store.” So, while she is still a tinier artist, her discography is growing! She also has some unreleased demos as well as covers on her TikTok account (@abbycates). As we all anxiously await for her to release her first album, definitely give her a listen!
  1. Molly Grace
    • Molly Grace is an RnB artist with a buttery soft voice. She currently has an EP along with a variety of singles released on Spotify. Including one of my favorites, “Not The One.” While she is also smaller in scale, her listeners are growing too! Definitely check out her Spotify, or videos on TikTok as well (@mollylikestosing). She’s 100% worth a listen!
