Shows to Watch to Stay in the Spooky Spirit

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Jefferson chapter.

As Halloween ends, some people are already putting up their Christmas lights, but others are wishing we could rewind and live Halloween again. If you’re looking to stay spooky for a little while longer, check out these TV shows that will leave you in the Halloween spirit.

Castle Rock

This show, existing in a multiverse from the mind of Stephen King, is mysterious and suspenseful. Set in the small, woodland town of Castle Rock, Maine, the setting for many of King’s best work, this story is enticing for both fans of King and those who may have never read one of his books.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

This new twist on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, based off of the more recent comic books and created by the same mind that brought you Riverdale, is not the Sabrina you might remember from the sitcom. This show is suspenseful and creepy, with enough Satanic rituals to make you feel like it’s still Halloween. It’s also a whole lot of fun to watch.

Bates Motel

This show, which wrapped up its final season a few years ago, follows Norman Bates and his mother as they open and run the Bates Motel. Expanding upon the original Norman Bates from Psycho, it tells a story you probably aren’t expecting. Get ready to never see Freddie Highmore the same way again.

The Haunting of Hill House

New to Netflix and a viral hit, watching this show before bed might ensure that you won’t sleep at all that night. Follow along on this story of a family and their old haunted house, but you might want to keep the lights on while you watch.
