HCIU: What aspects of modeling in the RSO fashion show do you enjoy most?
ME: RSO has given roughly thirty girls an amazing opportunity to showcase their hard work. The designers work tirelessly throughout the year and it’s our job to make sure their designs look as best as possible on the runway. I have to say I enjoy the challenge.
HCIU: Of all the designs you’re modeling which is your favorite and why? Who designed it?
ME: I’m in love with a floor-length, navy blue, drop-back gown. It is completely effortless to wear, not to mention easy to walk in. It was designed by Lia Saunders…and she’s letting me buy it.
HCIU: Who is your favorite designer?
ME: Picking a favorite designer is damn near impossible. At the moment I’m fiending over Rozae Nichols silk-work. The team at RN puts together beautiful collections every season and I’m just beginning to collect their pieces.
HCIU: Who is your fashion icon?
ME: Alexander McQueen R.I.P.
HCIU: Who or what inspires your personal style?
ME: I started going through my Mom’s closet when I was 13 and I’ve been doing it ever since. The woman has mad style.
HCIU: Which celebrity needs a fashion makeover?
ME: Mary-Kate Olsen; oversized clothes aren’t good on anyone.
HCIU: What staple item should every woman have in her closet?
ME: A proper leather jacket. One that can be dressed up or down. It can be edgy or chic or whatever you want it to be.
HCIU: In your opinion, what’s the sexiest piece of clothing a man can wear?
ME: A three-piece suit. A sure-fire sign that the man has got his shit together.

ME: Master-thrifter.

TW: The show hands-down. All of the practices are fun, but they get redundant. The show is such a rush of energy.
HCIU: Of all the designs you’re modeling which is your favorite and why? Who designed it?
TW: You’ll have to come to the show to see it!
HCIU: Who or what inspires your personal style?
TW: What I wear differs every day. One day it could be some oversized t-shirt that I probably stole from my parents. Other days I could wear a classy blouse. It all depends on my mood (and how late I’m going to be to class).
HCIU: In your opinion, what’s the sexiest piece of clothing a man can wear?
TW: Shoes are the most underrated thing in every man’s closet. Every guy should have a nice pair. There’s nothing sexy about a guy in tennis shoes unless he’s at the gym.
HCIU: Where is your favorite place to online shop?
TW: Topshop, Asos, River Island, Nasty Gal. There’s too many to pick just one.
HCIU: What type of items can always be found in your handbag?
TW: Chapstick and my cellphone. I lose my purse too often to carry anything too important.

AK: I love them all, but my favorite is the earthy green one shouldered dress I’m wearing of Racquels, because it contrasts with a lot the other pieces in the show and it’s stunning.

AS: I love seeing and wearing all the designs by the IU students, it’s amazing how talented they all are!
HCIU: Of all the designs you’re modeling which is your favorite and why? Who designed it?
AS: My favorite design that I’m modeling is a dress by Jill Rice. It’s black with a deep v-neck in the front and has a long black and white striped train in the back. It’s absolutely stunning.
HCIU: Who is your favorite designer?
AS: I really admire shoe designer Ruthie Davis. She’s very up and coming and her shoes have been seen on the red carpet worn by different celebrities such as Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez. She incorporates the latest fashion trends in every pair, and each style makes women feel sexy and fashionable!
HCIU: Where is your favorite place to online shop?
AS: I shop for all my formal and summer dresses on Asos.com. My favorite thing about Asos is their unique, and extremely extensive, selection of dresses. They also have a very flexible return policy and are very affordable!
HCIU: What type of items can always be found in your handbag?
AS: Four different tubes of lip gloss, Big Red gum, solid perfume, cell phone, my Tom Ford sunglasses, and Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer!

HCIU: What aspects of modeling in the RSO fashion show do you enjoy most?
AB: Meeting everyone! The night of the show is such an adrenaline rush, too.
HCIU: Of all the designs you’re modeling which is your favorite and why? Who designed it?
AB: I’m wearing two looks this year and both were made by friends of mine. The first one is in the photo of me. It was designed by Jake Moor. The second is by Sarah Indahl. They both had their own shows that I walked in. They are crazy talented and it’s awesome to wear something that they made. I’ve known them for quite some time so it was really special to model something they worked so diligently on.
HCIU: Describe your personal style.
AB: It’s all over the place. I dress according to how I feel that morning and I’m not ashamed to change my outfit throughout the day. I dress for comfort and I don’t follow up with trends. Normally I wear tight pants, loose shirts, necklaces, messy hair, and somehow end up looking slightly bohemian. I layer a lot of pieces. I feel like I dress weird for the most part, but I like it that way.
HCIU: In your opinion, what’s the sexiest piece of clothing a man can wear?
AB: Jeans that fit, fresh kicks, and a smile on his face. Now that I think of it, suspenders are really cute on a guy.
HCIU: If your life were a runway, what would be your theme song?
AB: I’ve always listened to rap and hip hop, so anything by Drake, Wale, Beyonce, or even Nicki Minaj. “Shawty is a 10” by The Dream has the perfect walking beat.

AL: My favorite thing about the RSO show is that it lets us show off someone’s hard work in such an extravagant way.
HCIU: Of all the designs you’re modeling which is your favorite and why? Who designed it?
AL: My favorite outfit I get to wear in the show is a blue skirt with a short white top and cape made by Linda Xiong!
HCIU: Which staple item should every woman have in her closet?
AL: The staple item every woman needs in her closet is a pair of ridiculously tall black stilettos.
HCIU: What’s your dream modeling job?
AL: My dream modeling job would be to do a Chanel perfume campaign.

AL: My favorite fashion magazine if VOGUE of course!

AC: I love the black trenchcoat with floral trim. It’s really classic with a twist, and it’ll be a lot of fun to model.
HCIU: Who is your fashion icon?
AC: Coco Rocha, I absolutely love her! She’s incredible.
HCIU: What staple item should every woman have in her closet?
AC: A little black dress, of course.
HCIU: What’s your dream modeling job?
AC: Walking the runway for Zac Posen. His shows are striking and very artistic, but his designs are still wearable.
