Take-Home Finals as Told by the “Procrastination” SpongeBob Episode

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ithaca chapter.

This semester I’ve only had take-home finals and final papers. I’m having a hard time focusing on my work at home, but let’s be honest, I’d be procrastinating even if I were still at school. Every time I think about doing my work and decide to wait, I think about the SpongeBob episode fittingly called “Procrastination.” This episode describes exactly what it’s like trying to do finals and papers on your own time.

Finding any reason not to start your work

Finally deciding to buckle down

Deciding to take a break after doing the bare minimum

Doing anything but your work

Getting super offended when people call you out for procrastinating

Seeing the time and panicking

Actually working hard

Finally finishing

Feeling proud and relieved…

…until you remember you still have more assignments

Doing this every time
