Things to do in Indianapolis During the Spring Season

“There’s nothing to do in Indiana.” A common statement one can hear from some of the citizens of Indiana. While some may think that is true, there are great activities one can do in Indianapolis, especially with spring approaching us soon. Here are five different things to do when the nice weather finally comes around.

  1. White River State Park

White River State Park is a well-known place in Indiana. Set in downtown Indianapolis, guests are able to walk the grounds to enjoy a picnic or just to go relax. Also at the White River State Park, is the famous canal walk. You can walk through the canal or even rent out a pedal boat with friends to see Indianapolis from the water.

  1. Lilly House and Gardens

If you love a historic scene, this is the place for you! Lilly House and Gardens is on 26 acres of beautiful garden. The garden was even designed by the same people who created the famous Central Park! The house is restored to look exactly like it did back in the 1930s with authentic furniture and architecture from that period.

  1. Holliday Park

Holliday Park is the best place to go and have a picnic with some friends. It holds pieces of Indiana history throughout the grounds. Guests can view some amazing historical ruins, even the ruins of a skyscraper from New York City!

  1. Indianapolis Cultural Trail

If you want an easy way to find different shops and eateries, the Indianapolis Cultural Trail is the perfect opportunity. There are eight miles spanning throughout downtown Indianapolis to walk through and sight see. If you’re a fan of art, you can even catch glimpses of some amazing murals in different parts of the city.

Glass blowing has become such a popular activity to do. Luckily, GRT Glass Design is situated in Indianapolis where you can go see some amazing glass work. Come at the right time and you can even get the opportunity to make your own glass art!
