Years ago, all we had was Netflix, and Netflix had everything. However, as the years have passed, more platforms have come to light and shows and movies have been switching around these platforms. I’m sure everyone has their preferred streaming methods, but here is how I would rank a few of them from worst to best.

5. Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime Video literally has everything, but the catch is you have to rent or buy everything, which kind of ruins it. Luckily it does have some free shows and movies, like The Summer I Turned Pretty, but besides that, I don’t like having to pay.

4. Hulu

The reason Hulu is ranked so low for me is that I don’t have the premium version, so I’m always stuck watching the ads. And they get very annoying as someone who does not have the best patience. Besides this, though, I just feel like it has the worst variety out of all of them. The few good things it has is either also already on other platforms, or you have to pay to rent it if you don’t have premium, which the majority of people don’t. The only thing saving it in my opinion is the fact that it has Modern Family.

3. Disney+

The creation of Disney+ was one of the best things to happen to us ever when it was first announced. The nostalgia of being able to rewatch my favorite Disney Channel shows and movies is worth everything. They have so much more too besides just Disney Channel, like Marvel and Pixar movies. It’s also perfect for the holidays to rewatch so many of our favorite Halloween and Christmas movies.

2. Netflix

Netflix is infamous for taking the best shows and movies off, leaving everyone pretty mad. Then, they like to put it back on for a second, before removing it again (cough cough, Mean Girls, cough cough). So many good of my favorite bingeworthy shows have left. However, Netflix gets bonus points for all the Netflix Original shows and movies it has. I know all the other platforms have made originals themselves, but the Netflix ones cannot be topped.

1. HBO Max

I know it’s technically called just Max now, but I don’t think I could ever bring myself to call it that. It just doesn’t sound right! Anyway, almost every good 2000s and 2010s teen show is on here. The OC, One Tree Hill, Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl, to name a few. It also gets most new movies once they are out of the theaters. I, by far, use this streaming platform the most.

Do you agree or disagree with this list? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
