It seems as if there’s no end in sight for these cold winter days, and that can take a toll on your mood. However, spring is quickly approaching and it’s vital to get yourself out of your winter rut. Here are five ways to instantly get yourself out of your winter blues!

1. Self-Tan

Remind yourself of your summer glow with a (fake) tan! To get that beautiful, natural color, try Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sunless Tanning Mousse. It’s easy to apply, dries in seconds, and instantly gives you a gorgeous tan. Plus, it can be purchased at your local drugstore!

2. Exercise

Get your spring break bod ready by hitting the gym. Not only is exercising extremely beneficial to your physical and mental health, but it releases feel-good chemicals that help kickstart your mood. Get your friends together to try a new workout class!

3. Get Outside

Although it seems counter-intuitive, it’s important to get some sunlight everyday. Try walking to class instead of taking the bus, or take a stroll around the block. Despite what it may seem, going outside, even in cold weather, can improve your mood significantly.

4. Eat Healthy

Try ditching the winter comfort food and opt for a healthier option. Eating healthy improves your mood and energizes you, giving you the motivation to get through your day despite the weather. Plus, fresh fruits and vegetables can help remind you of the warmer days to come.

5. Hang Out with Friends

Nothing helps kill a bad mood like being around your friends. Call up some friends to watch movies, get dinner, or just chill. It’s guaranteed to raise your spirits!
