Since winter break is almost upon us I wanted to share some of my favorite Christmas themed episodes from all of my favorite shows that you can watch to get in the spirit this season. ‘Tis the season of coziness and binge watching some festive tv show episodes!

Friends “The One With the Holiday Armadillo”

This episode is honestly iconic, it follows around Ross who is giving best efforts to teach his son, Ben the history of Chanukah. However, all of Ben’s excitement is towards Christmas, then Ross ends up dressing as a holiday armadillo and from there the laughing doesn’t stop. This episode is full of laughs, heart, and Christmas joy.

Gossip Girl “Roman Holiday”

Christmas in New York, what can get better that? Well besides the beautiful scenery of the Upper East Side, this episode serves up all the drama a gossip girl episode should have. Blair’s father comes for the holidays, but with an unexpected guest. This results in Blair to start acting, well like Blair. This episode also follows Dan and Serena while they try to get the perfect gifts for each other, it’s very romantic. I love this episode so much because even with all the chaos and drama, since it is a Christmas episode, it wraps up in such a way that just warms your heart.                                                                                                                  Victorious “A Christmas Tori”

It’s Christmas time at Hollywood Arts and the gang is participating in a secret Santa. This episode follows every character giving each other the perfect gifts. It’s a super light hearted episode with some great laughs, and an amazing musical number at the end that puts you right into the Christmas spirit.

The Carrie Diaries “The Second Time Around”

Even though The Carrie Diaries was a short lived show, it still had a pretty charming and memorable Christmas episode. In episode 8 of the second season, Carrie gets a chance to interview the CEO of Bongo jeans, but Larissa puts even more pressure on her when she says that this is her last chance to land a piece in Interview Magazine. This episode also has really cute moments between Sebastian and Carrie as well as with her family, while set during Christmas time in the 80s.

Good Luck Charlie “A Duncan Christmas”

Good Luck Charlie was one of the newer Disney channel shows that I actually really enjoyed and this Christmas episode was one of my favorites. Teddy is in charge of taking Charlie to see Santa and Bob struggles with what to get Amy for Christmas. This episode is really fun for the whole family to watch and Teddy also performs a very heartwarming song at the end that will make you smile.

Stranger Things “Holly Jolly”

So although this show is a little bit on the darker side, it still has a very enjoyable Christmas episode. This intense episode of Stranger Things primarily focuses on Joyce trying to talk to her son, Will through the use of Christmas lights. She puts them all over her house to communicate with Will, who can only turn them on and off. This episode isn’t as full of Christmas cheer as some of the others on this list, but it will definitely keep you on your toes.

Dynasty “Rotten Things”

Dynasty is a fairly new show, with their second season airing now on the CW, it has quickly become one of my favorites due to all of the drama, romance, and plot twists. Their Christmas episode in the first season is truly spectacular. With SammyJo’s mom coming to the Carrington manner along with Blake’s father, the differences between the two families start to collide and secrets unravel. SammyJo and his aunt, Cristal have a strong dynamic in the episode when they want to share some of their Christmas traditions with the Carringtons. The scenes where they are by the huge Christmas tree are my favorite because I instantly feel immersed in the holiday spirit.

The Vampire Diaries “Christmas Through Your Eyes”

For the most part The Vampire Diaries can tend to be a very dramatic and sad show, and this episode isn’t any different, however it does have some light hearted Christmas moments through flashbacks which break the tension throughout the episode. Bonnie spends the episode trying to replicate some of her favorite traditions, while reminiscing about happier and easier times with her friends. I remember watching this show back when it was airing on tv, and even though it’s been years since I’ve seen this episode I can never forget it.

The Office “A Christmas Party”

The Office has had several hilarious Christmas episodes, however season 2’s episode always stands out in my head.  Everyone in the office is having a secret Santa, a common theme in many Christmas themed tv show episodes might I add, and Michael Scott exceeds the $20 limit by getting Ryan an ipod. However, he is very disappointed when he only receives an oven mitt in return, resulting in Michael wanting to have a more legitimate gift-trading exchange. I can watch this episode a hundred times and still laugh at every joke, the way the characters interact with one another is what makes this show so funny and why I will never get tired of it.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina “A Midwinter’s Tale”

I know this episode hasn’t even come out yet, but if you binged all of season one in one night like I did, then I’m sure we both know this Christmas special isn’t going to disappoint. This Christmas special is supposed to follow Sabrina as a little girl, who is being played by Mckenna Grace, who is actually Kiernan Shipka’s twin it’s insane. It will give the audience better insight to the Spellman family before all the drama with Sabrina having to sign her name in the book of the beast. I’m looking forward to grabbing some hot cocoa and watching this special when it comes out on December 14th.

So there you have it, some of my favorite Christmas themed tv show episodes from a variety of my favorite shows. So don’t worry you now have plenty of options on what to watch during this cozy season.
