Fall is coming! This means sweater weather, pumpkins, and more time spent inside. Before it gets too cold out, here are some ideas for you to enjoy this fall season with your girlfriends!

Visit a Pumpkin Patch

There’s nothing better than visiting a pumpkin patch and picking out pumpkins with your besties! When you arrive, you see hundreds of pumpkins and gourds in different colors and sizes, thinking this will take forever to find the perfect pumpkin. You know, one that’s brightly orange, no bruises, medium sized, not too small and not too big. Finding the perfect pumpkin requires a lot of attention to detail, but once you know, you know! Whether you carpool together or drive separately and take your pumpkins home to paint or carve, pumpkins are a fall staple and bring back nostalgic memories!

Bake

The fall season often has people cozying up with sweet drinks and treats. Enjoy whipping up some treats that all can eat and have fun making. Some tasty treats I love to bake in the fall include pumpkin bread (or muffins), pumpkin cookies, apple crisp, apple and/or pumpkin pie, and caramel apples. You could even have a cookie decorating contest! Friends can also bond with one another over apple cider, pumpkin spice lattes, or any other fall themed drinks!

Go to a Haunted House

Are you in the mood to get spooked till you die laughing and crying with your friends? If so, going to a local haunted house is a great option! It’s a great way to bring everyone together and you are sure to create memories that will last a lifetime!

Go to a Corn Maze/Hay Ride

Ever since I was a little kid, my favorite part about the fall season was going to a corn maze. When it was bright and sunny, we looked at a map to guide us through. At night, we brought flashlights and our best judgment to navigate our way out. Corn mazes are always fun! Bonus points if the place you go to has you take a hay ride to get to the corn mazes!

Have a Bonfire

Before the weather gets too cold, gather your friends to have a bonfire together! You can make s’mores and share stories while reminiscing about all the memories and good times you’ve shared! Make sure you don’t forget the bug spray, blankets, and lanterns to enhance the aesthetic of your get together!

Go Apple Picking

The fall season is a time for pumpkins and apples. Since the best apples are freshly picked from trees, you can go pick up your friends and visit an apple farm! Picking apples is always a fun activity but can also be stressful if looking for specific types of apples! My favorite apples to eat are the Pink Lady apples or Granny Smith. Pro tip: apples for cooking typically need a balance of sweet and sour, while apples for baking should be sour.

Halloween Movie Marathon

If the weather is cloudy and rainy, you should always have a backup plan! A good backup plan consists of having all your girlfriends over to have a halloween movie marathon! Movie nights are always fun with friends, and you can add some pizazz to them by having snacks and telling scary stories!

Have a Photoshoot

One of the best parts about the fall season is going into your closet and pulling out all of your comfy sweaters! Whether you’re going out for the night, or just want to be warm and cozy, sweaters are one of the best choices! Set up a time when you and all your friends are free and the weather is nice to go take some pictures out in the fall-colored trees. You’d be surprised how many memories can be made from a simple photoshoot!

Craft Night

Craft nights are always a number 1 staple for the artist in myself! There are a wide variety of options you can take with a craft night but some are: scrapbooking, painting, homemade jewelry, or even wreath decorating! You could even change it up and add a challenge by making it a themed craft night where all of your friends create one specific craft based on a theme. If you’re competitive, this could easily turn into a competition!

Football Games

Lastly, I couldn’t end this fall trend article without suggesting going to or watching a football game with your friends! You’d be surprised how much fun games are. You’d be surprised by how many life long memories and inside jokes you share during your time together! Whether you understand the game of football or you don’t, it’s a great excuse to find time to spend with your closest friends!

There are so many fall trends and activities that you can do with your girlfriends this season! What are you waiting for? Call them up, or send a group chat message, pick an activity, and get ready to have lots of fun while creating new memories that will last a lifetime!
