Podcasts have quickly become one of the larger forms of entertainment these days. You can find podcasts on a variety of topics that appeal to all different types of people. The best thing about podcasts is when listeners find hosts who feel like a new best friend. Here are three podcasts I like that I think everyone can enjoy.

  1. The Sesh

One of the best things about podcasts is listening to the bond between hosts, and the hosts of “The Sesh,” cousins Kendall Rae and Janelle Fields, are a perfect example of this bond. Kendall is a YouTube creator who makes content that focuses on raising awareness for various missing person cases and other True Crime content. Janelle has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. The podcast focuses on various popular current events, like the #FreeBritney movement, and it’s also a space for Kendall and Janelle to share personal stories about other topics, such as relationships and mental health. The two hosts are both relatable and extremely entertaining to listen to. The episodes are each over an hour long and episodes come out every Sunday. It’s always interesting to hear Kendall and Janelle’s takes on current topics and to listen to the personal stories they share. Every episode feels like having a natural conversation with two good friends.

  1. Very Really Good

Kurtis Conner’s commentary videos have found a lot of success on YouTube, so it’s no surprise that his podcast, “Very Really Good,” is also a success. In each episode, Kurtis talks (and makes jokes) about current internet topics. Kurtis’ iconic humor and jokes make the topics he’s discussing even more entertaining. Episodes are filled with jokes, puns, sound effects and theme songs. Near the end of each podcast episode, Kurtis gives advice to his viewers. Combined with his genuine personality and quirky jokes, it isn’t hard for listeners to enjoy every minute of the comedian’s podcast. As each episode of “Very Really Good” comes out, it’s always thrilling to see what topics Kurtis will be talking about.

  1. Crazy Stupid Fangirls

Everybody loves the feeling of remembering something from their childhood. The topics covered on the podcast “Crazy Stupid Fangirls” give this exact feeling of nostalgia. Hosts Michelle Platti and Elle Mills discuss pop culture events from multiple decades. Michelle and Elle have had multiple guests on their podcast such as Daniel Franzese (Damian from Mean Girls), Bart Johnson (Coach Bolton from High School Musical) and Chloe Lukasiak (Dance Moms). The podcast dives deep into what these stars’ lives were like, what they are doing now, and a variety of other fascinating conversations. When they don’t have guests, Michelle and Elle are also big fans of talking about astrology. This podcast is perfect for people who love podcasts who feel like one big sleepover.

Podcasts are perfect for many different occasions, from just casual listening to the best background noise while doing homework. Knowing that there is a new podcast episode filled with fresh topics can make anyone’s week better. There are a never-ending selection of podcasts out there, but hopefully this list gives you an idea of what kind of podcast to start listening to.
