The Feelings of Going Home for Fall Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at HWS chapter.

Just as school is becoming too stressful and you need a break from food, classes, and even sometimes your friends or your roommate, fall break comes at the perfect time. Going home for fall break has many feelings associated with it.

1.     The stress of finding a ride home

While in the midst of exams and essays there is the stress of finding a ride home with everyone’s different schedules and figuring out who is blessed with a car and who isn’t. When in doubt, take the bus….

2.     The happiness of the thought of your mom’s home-cooked meals or your favorite restaurants

There is nothing better than a home-cooked meal after eating at Saga for the past six weeks. After your mom makes you your favorite meal ever, of course you have to hit up all your favorite restaurants and coffee shops.

3.     Filling in your best friends on everything that has happened at school

Before leaving for college spending more than two weeks apart from your best friends was a big deal, let alone not seeing each other for months at a time. Reuniting is filled with all sorts of emotions. Telling each other everything about your new friends you have because so close within a short amount of time.

4.     The joy of sleeping in your own bed

Your bed at college just isn’t the same as your bed at home. The feeling of getting in your bed at home is the best feeling in the world, and so if sleeping in.

Hope you are all enjoying and soaking in the goodness of fall break!
