Maybe you know her as Megan Thee Stallion, maybe you know her as Tina Snow, or maybe you know her as Hot Girl Meg.

However you might refer to the certified Houston Hottie, she has had us running through houses like the tomb raider, telling us what Simon said, and teaching us how to be savage with her EPs and mixtapes.

This year especially has been extremely successful for the Hot Girl Coach, with the “Savage Remix” featuring Beyonce and “WAP” with Cardi B both taking No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

But now, we finally have the debut album– and she definitely delivered.

Released on November 20, the 17-track album “Good News” is exactly what it claims to be–some “good news” and carefree fun in the midst of 2020’s craziness.

Megan Thee Stallion packs a powerful punch with the album’s opener “Shots Fired” (which samples Notorious B.I.G’s “Who Shot Ya?”) addressing both Tory Lanez and everyone who took his side at the time that she named him as her shooter. And just like the title of the song, she sends some shots right back.

The rest of the album offers some fun with features from artists like Da Baby (“Cry Baby”), SZA (“Freaky Girls”), and Lil Durk (“Movie”).

She even gave the TikTokers something to dance to with the body-positive song “Body” — the video, with cameos from celebrities like Taraji P. Henson and Jordyn Woods, makes the anthem even better.

Each song stays true to her provocative, fast-lined style without sounding exactly like her other songs. We even get “Don’t Rock Me To Sleep”, which strays away from rap and delves more into a pop-like style, but still shows us that Meg has no problem with experimentation.

All in all, Megan Thee Stallion shows us that no matter what we go through, we can still boss up, have fun, and remember our worth.

So here’s some “Good News” for you– Megan came through with a great debut album.

Take a listen if you haven’t already.
