Your Guide to the Ultimate Rory Gilmore Wardrobe

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Holy Cross chapter.

One of my favorite fall pastimes is settling under the covers and turning on Netflix to start my annual Gilmore Girls rewatch. Rory and Lorelai and their charming little town of Stars Hollow are a fall Pinterest board brought to life. If you’re looking to include some cute Rory-inspired outfits into your wardrobe this fall, I’ve compiled the ultimate guide to everything you need to channel your inner Gilmore Girls.

Low-rise jeans: denim is a staple in the Gilmore household, so jeans are a must-have, but for that extra 2000s flare, I recommend a pair of low-rise jeans, in a dark wash

Knits: Rory wouldn’t be Rory without her iconic sweaters. Reds, creams, and blues are classic fall colors but Rory’s most iconic outfit is perhaps her chunky cream sweater from the pilot episode.

Turtlenecks: Yale-era Rory leans into the preppier side of fall fashion and can be seen wearing lots of classic turtlenecks and mock-necks.

Mini skirts: Rory loves to pair her tops with mini skirts, often with check patterns but black is also classic, and can pair well with many colors. They’re often worn with tights.

Shoes: Rory has lots of different shoes but some of her most often worn pairs are Converse and Mary Janes.

Accessories: Rory can often be seen wearing headband
