American social media star, who has appeared in dance and film, has officially entered the music world. In 2021, Addison Rae released her first debut single, ‘Obsessed,’ an upbeat teeny pop song.
‘AR’ EP August 18th of this year. Unfortunately, these songs were leaked a year before the release but are now officially uploaded to all music platforms. Say what you will about Addison entering the music realm; these songs are dance-crazy, upbeat, and fun. The songs scream Early 2000s Britney Spears pop, bringing us back to our roots! A familiar sound that has been lost in the past few years, the younger side of millennials and the older group of Generation Z can connect through club-like bops. Throwing a song from the ‘AR’ track into a playlist of Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Flo Rida, Rhianna, and Lady Gaga from the years 2003 to 2009, Addison Rae’s music would flow perfectly.

Digging deeper, song lyricist on the EP include Leland, known for his songs written for Selena Gomez, Daya, and Charli XCX (makes sense on 2 die 4 featuring Charli XCX), Madison Love, who has written for Ava Max, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Daya, and Charli XCX, and a few more. It is important to note that finding commonalities between songwriters and their personal style helps identify why a song sounds familiar to you!
