Eliza Boon Pipkin ’13

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hollins chapter.

Full Name: Eliza Boone Pipkin
Class Year: 2013
Major/Minor: Math & Chemistry! (I’m a nerd, I know!)
Favorite Color: Hot pink
Favorite Food: Sushi
Favorite Movie: Inception
Favorite Toy as a Child: Barbies!
Favorite Thing to do in Downtown Roanoke: Walk around with my friends and go shopping in all the cute little boutiques. And eat frogurt!
If you could have the perfect job, what would it be? Working at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. It’s such an amazing place! I’ve been lucky enough to intern there twice in the past year, and I hope to work there again soon! I love it!
How do you handle the 25-hour day (when it seems there’s way too much to do and not enough time to do it all)? I turn on music and buckle down and don’t give myself a break until it’s done. It’s torture sometimes, but it’s the only way I can do everything!
What are some on-campus activities that you participate (or have participated) in? HULA hostess for prospective students, Transfer Student SSL and working as a QR tutor.
What do you most look forward to about Ring Night? Everything! I can’t wait for the shout-outs, skits, silly costumes… but most of all I can’t wait to find out who my sisters are!
What’s one piece of advice you’d like to pass on to prospective students? You’ll make the best friends you’ve ever had here.

Amber is a recent graduate from Hollins University. She greatly enjoyed her time as HC Hollins Editor-In-Chief and looks forward to seeing what great things new students bring to the branch.
