Keep Pride Month Going with These Two Bops

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Harvard chapter.

June has long ended, but Pride doesn’t have to. Check out a few catchy tunes to keep your Pride going.

You Need to Calm Down by Taylor Swift. Can you name every celebrity cameo in the video? Not only do her lyrics call out haters everywhere, but she’s also included a petition to promote LGBTQ+ rights. You can find this petition urging Senate support of the Equality Act on Change.org. Nothing says Pride like bright colors, confidence, and advocacy.

Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels by Todrick Hall. If I could summarize this song and music video in one word it would be SLAY. With more coordination than I could ever hope to achieve in my life, Todrick flaunts his style and confidence, and shows us how to be extra but slay at the same time. Remember “Head, Shoulder, Knees and Toes”? This is her now, and she is taking names.
