Hometown: South Bend, Indiana

Why did you choose studio art as your major?
I’m majoring in photography because my dream is to work for National Geographic.

Why did you decide to minor in Communications and Spanish instead of double majoring with Studio Art?
I minored in communications because I thought it would be smart to write the stories I would be taking pictures of for National Geographic. I also just love Spanish.

Why did you choose to come to Hanover?
I chose to go to Hanover because I loved the campus and the people.

What clubs and organizations are you involved with on campus?
I am a member of Student Senate, and I am on the KP/Blythe Hall Council.

What made you want to be a part of Student Senate?
I’m an at-representative for Student Senate. I did Student Senate because I was in Student Government all throughout high school, and I feel like it’s a good way to get involved and make a difference.

What do you see yourself doing in 5 years?
Hopefully I will be working for National Geographic as a photographer.

What do you like most about working with photography?
I love photography, black and white, not digital. There’s something so unique and memorable about black and white photos and developing in a dark room that I love.

Why does National Geographic interest you?
I want to work for National Geographic because I would love to travel the world. I have always been inspired by the photographs and stories in the magazines ever since I was little.

What kind of characteristics do you look for in a guy?
He’s gotta love Jesus. He also has to be able to make me laugh, and he must be a kind person.

What is your biggest pet peeve?
I really can’t stand bad drivers.

Do you have any funny stories that have to do with bad drivers?
Bad drivers are everywhere. It’s ridiculous. My favorite thing is when people like to stop suddenly with no turn signal and turn. Thats always nice :)

How do you want to be remembered at Hanover after you graduate in 2014?
This sounds cliche, but I want to be remembered for making a difference in some way.

Who is your favorite musician/band?
Either Phil Wickham, Regina Spektor, or Justin Bieber.. don’t judge.
