The parties, drinks, dancing and homecoming are over and it is time to get your life together. As the temperature cools on campus it seems like a time to pay more attention to our studies. Don’t let the pressure of your studies deter you from having fun this season. Here are some ideas for fall activities that you can do alone or with others:

  1. Go to a pumpkin patch- Visit a local pumpkin patch and pick one that stands out to you. They vary in all shapes sizes and even colors. This is also an opportunity to take pictures in a sea of beautiful orange pumpkins.

  2. Carve/paint pumpkins- Once you pick your prized pumpkin, take it home and create designs and paintings on the pumpkin to show your creativity and display at your home.

  1. Have a fall photoshoot- There is no need for fancy equipment or a professional photographer. Include your friends or significant other and take pictures among the fall leaves, pumpkin patches or at a farm. Another idea could be a photo in your halloween costume.

  2. Get lost in a corn maze- Explore the fun of a maze and try to find your way through with friends. Also, try a spooky maze with freights at every turn to make for a thrilling and exhilarating experience.

  3. Go on a hayride- Take a relaxing ride on a hayride and feel those country farm vibes. Take advantage of other activities at the farm like games and other treats or activities.

  4. Visit a spooky haunted house- Fall includes Halloween and you can take advantage of this by going to a haunted house or having a Halloween party/costume contest of your own.

  1. Go black Friday shopping-Experience the rush, thrill and competition of black Friday shopping. This is also an opportunity to find great deals on products or shop for Christmas gifts.

Remember what you are thankful for- Lastly, on Thanksgiving, this is an activity that can be completed with who you celebrate this holiday with whether it be your family, yourself or your very own friendsgiving. Basically, all you have to do is share with those around you what you are thankful. This can be made as a challenge for the month of November to reflect on decisions, events and problems in your life.
