“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Peep that above? Just a reminder to anyone who may have forgotten.
There are times in your life where you become so overwhelmed and your emotions begin to try to take over. There are days when you wonder why you are running into turmoil and obstacles more than ever, or why it may seem like things are happening over and over again as if you’ve done something to deserve it.
Being put in uncomfortable situations, as humans, we automatically assume that we can’t take it anymore or we begin to lose faith. Something that seems to be forgotten very often is that God specifically mentioned he would NEVER leave us NOR forsake us. In other words he promised that no matter what may occur in our lives or what mistakes we make he is and always will be next to you. As human beings we are naturally always questioning our circumstances and outcomes that are unfavorable. There are so many times that many of us could have been out for the count, dead, not in school, not having clothes on our back, food to eat, yet for some reason we still find ourselves questioning Him.
We all know this saying, “Walk by Faith and not by Sight,” right? Is it always really that easy though? No. Should it be? Yes! God has given us all the answers and promises to the point that all we have to do is go back and read what is there for us.
I am thankful for God never leaving my side because even when I betrayed Him, and have committed sins, he still finds a way to bless me. I am thankful for having a Father in Heaven who may have allowed me to trip or even stumble a few times but has never left me to suffer. Even through sickness and disappointments the outcome of it all feels like you still come out on top. When you truly focus on the biggest picture and realize that someone has been carrying you in their arms all these years, someone has been watching over you all these years, someone has been blessing you even when you or the people around you feel as though you may not even be worthy enough to receive them. Someone kept you in the palm of their hands even when you stopped believing for a while, even when you veered off the path he had set for you, even when you lost faith, and even when you chose materialistic things and people over him.
We tend to stray away when things become to difficult in our lives, but I have never known our God to stray away from us. Be strong and fearless of the world! Fear only one thing and that’s God himself! That someone who has his shield in front of you and his angels guarding you is always going to be God.
