Nineteen-year-old television sensation Zendaya Coleman continues to kill the game as the newest face of CoverGirl. As if K.C. Undercover, constantly slaying the red carpet, and having your own Barbie doll wasn’t enough, she is making her mark in the beauty world and Hollywood. Last week, CoverGirl announced Zendaya would be the line’s newest spokeswoman. She revealed the big news on Instagram with a video captioned “Meet your newest, easy…breezy beautiful… COVERGIRL.” She will be joining Queen Latifah, Katy Perry and Rihanna who are also faces of the beauty brand.
Zendaya told TeenVogue, “CoverGirl celebrates powerful, beautiful, and strong women of different races and ethnicities. It’s inspiring.”
Zendaya Coleman is definitely a beauty icon who stands up for what she believes in. Its remarkable that she uses her platform to inspire young girls to embrace their beauty no matter the color of their skin, their weight or the texture of their hair.
