Hamptonians are taught to work hard, give back to their community, and truly be the standard of excellence, and Ahmanda Jackson is one Hamptonian that embodies all of these qualities. Jackson is a senior broadcast journalism major from Hillside, New Jersey and has made an impact on campus since her beginning. If you attend Chapel on Sundays you will see Ahmanda ushering the service like she has done since her freshmen year at Hampton University. Although Ahmanda is involved with a lot of other extracurricular activities on campus, she makes sure to always get up Sunday morning to serve.
Jackson is also a dedicated Student Leader and puts a lot of energy and effort into all of the different committees she is a part of. She is also the executive producer of WHOV News and Caldwell Café. Both of these are essential aspects of Hampton’s Journalism and Communications School and most of her time goes towards these projects since she eventually wants to become a News Producer in the future.
Although Jackson has a huge presence on campus, she makes sure to always keep up with her academics and is currently a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Ahmanda’s hard work and dedication that she contributes to everything that she does is why we chose her as our campus celebrity of the week.
