Thanksgiving break is less than a week away! We know that you are all excited and anxious to get home and spend time with your family and friends. Before leaving for the holiday checkout our tips below to make the best of the holiday. 

1. Pace Yourself

We understand that for many college students, Thanksgiving is about the feast that will be prepared infront of you but pace yourself! Overeating can cause you to miss the early black Friday sales that Thursday Night/Early Friday morning. 

2. Don’t Panic

If you are visitng with a significant other and their family then don’t panic! We know it is nerve racking to meet the family but panicking will make the experience awful. When you make it to your Thanksgiving destination keep in mind that every family is different. Respect their house rules. Offer to help with small tasks in the kitchen and around the house. The more you geniunely try to get to know his family the better time you will have. 

3. Pull Through the Race

We know Thanksgiving break is a preview of what winter break will be, however do not get lazy. It is real easy to not feel like finishing last assignment when you know home is 2 weeks away. In order to make the time fly by finish final assignments, projects, and exams. The faster you finish the latter the sooner home will come. 

4. Be Thankful

It is easy to forget the reason for Thanksgiving but make sure to be thankful this Thanksgiving. Be thankful for being young, educated, in college, and are chasing your dreams. Be thankful for the good and bad! You never know how your life may be if certain situations turn out different. Humble yourself and be thankful, life could be a lot worse.
