Teresa Viteri ’15

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hamilton chapter.

This campus celeb hails all the way from Miami, Florida, bringing her love of dance and friendly personality to campus. We caught up with her between her numerous meetings, rehersals, and tours to hear about how she does it all!

Name: Teresa Viteri

Class: 2015

Major: Psychology

Hometown: Miami, FL

Was it hard to adjust to Hamilton after living in Miami?

Yes, not a day goes by that I don’t mention “In Miami, I would…”. Although the weather is a little rough, I love how beautiful it is here and how friendly everyone is.

How did you get involved in Student Assembly?

I have been involved with student government since middle school and have always used the slogan, “Terry Viteri for…”- it’s a little cheesy. When I first started Hamilton, I realized that I’m someone who needs to be involved with school, and felt like running for class treasurer would be the way to go. I remember collecting 50 signatures from other members of my class who I barely knew, writing a platform, and running unopposed. I’ve loved every second of it.

If you could live in any academic building on campus which one would it be and why?

To live in the Science Center would just be super convenient, but if I lived in KJ I could always shower in the lovely water feature- it’d be great.

What’s your favorite aspect of being a tour guide?

I personally love meeting new people, and after every tour, you just get some sense of satisfaction.

Do you have spirit animal?

Yes, some people would like to say that my spirit animal is a bunny, but you’d be surprised to know that after taking a spirit animal quiz, I’m actually a crow.  Obviously, I can do all of the following: “raise the dead, talk to dead people, and sense spiritual activity…”. Thank you, spirit animal quiz, for showing me the way.

What’s your favorite thing to get at Opus?

That would have to be a frozen mocha, they taste just like chocolate milkshakes!
