Spring Break: Home Edition

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hamilton chapter.

For those of you staying home this spring break I have got tons of ideas that will help y’all come back to the Hill happy and healthy in 2 weeks!

1.     Get sleep!

In order to get your sleep cycle back to normal, instating a regular sleep schedule is the best way to catch up on the lack of sleep that midterms took away from you!

2.     Catch up on TV!

Personally, I love starting a new TV show and watching it in its entirety over break; it’s a sense of accomplishment.

3.     Do school work!

Break is the perfect time to catch up on any homework you skipped when studying for midterms or from earlier in the semester. When I feel motivated (which is rare) I like to start preparing for future tests/essays because then I’m not so overwhelmed when I come back.

4.     Take up a new hobby!

Start baking, knitting, doing crossword puzzles, keeping a journal, running and tons of other fun stuff. Break is a time for rest and rehabilitation and taking up a new fun activity will help lighten your dreary post-midterm mood!

5.     See old friends!

Reconnect with friends and family this break; I’m sure they’ve missed you and you’ve missed them. Its so much fun to pretend to turn the clock back and reminisce about old times, I know I’ll definitely being partaking in this idea.

Don’t feel sad if you are staying home this break, because I am too and I cannot wait! There are tons of things to do at home, despite how boring you think your hometown is. Be creative and enjoy the time you have off because we’ll be back soon enough!
