Spring has Sprung (It’s About Time)!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GWU chapter.

Spring has finally sprung. Well, at least we hope so! The weather this year has been the craziest we’ve ever seen. One day its seventy-five degrees, sunny and everyone is out sitting in Kogan or studying on the National Mall and then the next day its pouring rain in the low fifties and we are shivering on the way to class. Mother nature is really playing with our heads. But, it seems that the weather is going to stay around the high sixties/low seventies for at least the coming week. This past weekend it was beautiful, just perfect for DC tourists enjoying the end of the Cherry Blossom Festival. I walked around campus towards the White House and noticed all the beautiful flowers that have bloomed. Just catching a glimpse of these flowers really can put a spring in your step and make you feel like Spring has finally arrived! Here are some of the beautiful flowers and Cherry Blossoms that I saw this weekend.
