University can get overwhelming, especially during midterm and exam season. It’s a good idea during these periods to give yourself a break every so often. I’ve compiled a list of some ideas for inspiration for your next study break.

1. Take a walk

Probably the most recommended suggestion for study breaks, taking a walk outside can allow you to get some fresh air and clear your head for a bit.

2. Bake

Baking is a great way to get your mind off of school and make something delicious in the meantime.

3. Listen to music

Plugging in some earphones and lying on your bed can be a great momentary escape from an overwhelming workload.

4. Read

Reading a book can help gain perspective through learning another person’s story.

5. Take a shower

If you’re looking for an easy and fast study break, my favourite way is to take a shower. Afterwards you feel refreshed and ready to take on another chapter of that textbook.
