HC: What makes you who you are?

LV: Basically, I would say how I grew up and my background. My mother was really strict. She’s from the Caribbean so if I didn’t have that I wouldn’t have the stability I have. I also traveled a lot, I lived in South Africa for a couple of years and it taught me to be more understanding of different situations. It taught me that America isn’t just it, there’s more out there.

HC: What makes you passionate?

If it’s something I really want to do. Knowing that I really want it, makes me passionate. Knowing that it could get me to the point where I want to be in life, anything like my career, being a creative director, knowing that I have to put out work. Also, seeing my friends. They’re all gorgeous people who are all really talented and they all are doing stuff. Seeing people around me that are doing what they’re supposed to do.

HC: How would your best friends describe you?

The first word they would probably say is goofy, and then sarcastic. We’re all just really goofy.

HC: Who and/or what is your inspiration?

I would say my inspiration is a group of people. It’s the people back in South Africa, I always think about how one day I can get back there and help because it’s really serious out there still. Like some of them can have nothing and still smile like they do have something.

HC: What are you doing outside of taking courses at GSU?

I am an inspiring creative director. So I plan shoots with friends, and take pictures.

HC: Where do you hope to see yourself in the future?

Living in London, having a house in South Africa and one in Atlanta so I can get my wings, (10 piece and fries). Hopefully working close with my friends still because our career paths are in the same direction. But just happy though. Doing what makes me the happiest.

HC: What’s a fun fact about you that nobody knows?I used to play the violin from 4th grade to 8th grade and I plan on going back really soon.

HC: What do you look for in a significant other?

A sense of humor is a big thing. Everyone says that but I literally cannot be with someone who’s serious all the time. Also, being thoughtful is a big thing! A lot of guys nowadays just expect and don’t really think about anything. Being cultured and spontaneous are also important.

HC:  Valentine’s Day just passed, so in light of that, what does love mean to you?

Love is a bond, it’s more than just a word to me and more than a title as well. It’s about really knowing the person you’re with and more importantly understanding them, being compassionate, thoughtful, and caring about their well being. Asking how their day was and actually wanting to know, not just a “wyd”.

HC: What is your favorite quote or mantra to live by?

“It sucks to suck”
