Her Campus: What’s your favorite thing about attending a college campus in the heart of the city?
Alex Jenkins: My favorite thing would definitely be how close I am to everything I might need or want while being in college so that at any given time I am within walking distance or a short drive of my destination.
HC: What is something that drives you while you’re pursuing your degree?
AJ: I would have to say that being financially secure drives me while pursuing my degree since I really want to be able to have a good job when I graduate so that I can support myself and my family and most of all make my family and friends proud of me.
HC: What motivates you every day?
AJ: My family mostly motivates me and my personal goal to just be as successful as I can possibly be!
HC: Who and/or what is your inspiration?
AJ: My mom is my inspiration because she truly puts everyone before herself.
HC: What are you doing outside of taking courses at GSU?
AJ: Most people say that I have a lot of jobs but currently I only have two jobs, one which is my work-study at GSU’s College of Law and the other, which is my part-time job with Wolfgang Puck at The Aquarium.
HC: What do you hope to see for yourself in the future?
AJ: I hope to see myself working somewhere in the government in the future making a nice salary and having at least two or three dogs that are adopted from a local shelter. Maybe a family (maybe!)
HC: What’s a fun fact about you?
AJ: A fun fact about me that a lot of people already know is that I honestly like animals more than humans.
HC: What do you look for in a significant other?
AJ: All of the qualities that Tyson Wilder has (wink wink), just kidding, But he pretty much does have everything that I look for in a significant other such as attractiveness, being a total gentleman, getting along with all my friends and family, making me laugh every day, a great love for food, and most of all he loves animals almost as much as I do.
HC: What is your favorite quote?
AJ: Everything Happens For a Reason. (because it really does!)
HC: What makes you who you are?
AJ: What makes me who I am is my weird sense of humor and love for animals. I am also one of the few people I know who is able to have a lot of friends with little to no drama. The few times I do get mad I get over things pretty quickly so I am rarely ever stressing.
