Reactions to the Roses: Week 9

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Gonzaga chapter.

It’s Fantasy Suite week ladies!  I am so glad you decided to join me yet again for The Bachelor this week.  We only have two more weeks until the final rose is given out!  I am just as excited as you are!  To kick things off, I thought I would offer up some advice to Ben for Fantasy Suite week.  Here are some other Bachelor contestants’ advice to Ben:

and

On the first date, Ben takes Caila on a water canoe (?) ride, where there is really awkward music in the background and everyone can tell Caila feels out of place.  I think this is the break-down of perky Caila, ladies.  She is all up in her head, and that’s not good when there are only three girls left.  Ben thinks she’s being weird because of the possibility of the fantasy suite.  Turns out, she’s just in love with the guy and doesn’t know how to tell him.  At dinner, Ben calls her out and she tells him she loves him.  FINALLY.  They end up going to the fantasy suite, after a dip in the ocean of course, and they passionately make-out while fireworks go off in the sky behind them.  When they wake up, Caila knows she is the one for Ben and that the other girls are no longer competition because she is the only girl Ben is going to wake up next to for the rest of her life.  Um, have you seen Lauren’s relationship with Ben, Caila? I think you still got competition.

Speaking of, Ben goes on a date with Lauren next.  The two of them get to release baby sea turtles back into the ocean!  They end up saving the lives of all of these super cute little turtles and it’s actually such a cute date.  I wouldn’t like to go on many of the Bachelor dates, simply because they are so extravagant and not realistic, but I’d totally be down to save the turtles.  After they save the turtles, Ben admits to crying to Lauren’s sister, Mollie, while he was visiting Portland.  Ben says Lauren is way too good for him, and she says the same about him.  Love is in the air, folks.  We have a winner.  I’m just going to keep saying it.  At dinner, they both just look so into each other and Lauren admits she is scared because of her feelings, but she isn’t going anywhere.  During the fantasy suite, Lauren tells Ben she loves him.  And, HE SAYS IT BACK.  That’s right, for the first time, that I can remember, in Bachelor history, the Bachelor says he loves a contestant while there are still multiple girls left. And Ben KEEPS saying he loves her.

Lauren and Ben both cry about it, and it’s the most romantic moment of Bachelor history so far.  If he doesn’t pick her, I will be so sad.

Ben has to leave Lauren to go on a date with JoJo.  They head out to these incredible waterfalls.  At the waterfalls, JoJo finally tells Ben she loves him.  So now we have all three girls confessing their love to Ben.  Yet again, Ben surprises me by saying HE LOVES JOJO TOO.  First off, he’s not allowed to tell anyone he loves them until he proposes.  But tonight he has confessed his love to TWO women.  This has for sure never happened before on this show.  The look on JoJo’s face when she heard him say he loved her was my face too.  Ben reflects during dinner about how he has now told two women he loves them, yet he has no idea which one he is going to choose.  Ben, THIS is why you aren’t allowed to confess your love until the end.  Which ever woman you break up with is going to be pissed at you because you said you loved her, yet you are not proposing to her.  That’s just terrible.  Future Bachelors, remember this moment.

In the morning, after Ben wakes up with JoJo, Caila decides she can’t be away from Ben any longer.  Remember, this is the only woman Ben didn’t say he loved this week.  Clearly, she’s the one going home.  But she still barges in on Ben when he looks like he’s trying to decide how to break up with her, which is just awkward.  It’s like a bad horror movie.  Everyone knows what’s going to happen to the sweet girl before she does.  I was feeling like

Watch out girl! Ben breaks up with her right then and there.  Caila is so upset she gets right into the car, ready to leave.  But in another Bachelor plot-twist, Caila gets OUT OF THE CAR and starts questioning Ben.  This week is actually filled with so many surprises!  Ben admits he just doesn’t love Caila like he loves the other girls, and he has to say goodbye.  Caila gets into the car again, this time stays in it, and cries all the way to the airport.  Ben is seen crying on the terrace as the sun sets.

During the Rose Ceremony, Ben gives his roses to Lauren and JoJo. Nothing crazy happens.  Next week all of the women come back, so make sure to join me for the Women Tell All, aka the Most Dramatic Episode of the Season.  And we get to see more of Olivia!

It’s sure to be blast!  Until next time, I hope you don’t fall in love with two people like Ben.  It seems way to dramatic.  HCXO
