Welcome to Gettysburg College’s Campus Circle of Sisterhood!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Gettysburg chapter.

Here on campus, our Panhellenic Council has decided to choose a philanthropy to donate money to, and they chose Circle of Sisterhood, a great organization that is already at many campuses across America!  Circle of Sisterhood has been designed for Panhellenic women to raise money for other women around the world to receive an education.  Many do not have access to schooling, which is an important tool in bettering these young girls lives.  By creating access to schooling there is a smaller chance of poverty, misogyny, and brutality against women.  They provide girls with notebooks, money for meals at school, pencils, and much more!  They even send mission trips to build schools in developing countries.

As women, we should care about all other women, even the 160 million plus women missing around the world.  Without help, change will never occur in many parts of the world!  I am so proud our campus is taking in this philanthropy and know we will raise money to make a difference in many girls lives around the world.
