One of my New Year’s goals for 2023 was to listen to more music. I know that I love music and I always feel better after listening, but rarely do I actually make time to listen to it.
I have my go-to artists but sometimes I will come across a song without meaning to and it will blow my mind. This is exactly what happened with P!nk’s newest song. Even though it came out at the end of January, I just recently came across it. I have enjoyed songs that P!nk has put out in the past, and on social media, I saw she had a new song out.
I decided to listen to it, not going in with any pre-existing opinions. I heard it and I mean it when I say I was blown away in all of the best ways. I immediately had to listen to it at least 7 times on repeat, because what else am I supposed to do when I hear something as inspiring and empowering as that?
The song is called “Trustfall” and I found it to be incredibly inspiring. Because I loved everything about this song, the lyrics, melody, and sound of it, I decided to watch the music video, which I usually never do with songs. The video was just as inspiring and so cool, because who are we kidding? Almost everything P!nk does is cool. To me, this song embodies facing your fears, going after your dreams, and trusting yourself in all that you do. I connected so much to every lyric and really felt moved by this song. And the best news of all is that her new album comes out February 17th. Spoiler alert, I am very excited. If this single is a teaser of what’s to come in the newest album, I truly believe it is bound to be one of her best yet!
