For our cutest couple this week, we have selected Nailah Mitnaul and Joshua Farara. Nailah is a junior here at Georgia Southern, a Senator for the College of Arts and Humanities in SGA, and co-producer for Her Campus GS HCTV. Joshua is a senior econ major; he also happens to be a barber at Kingdom Cuts. I guess it’s true that you can find love anywhere because these two met at a kickback last September. Joshua was a vegan around that time so when he caught Nailah’s eye, he happened to be sitting down eating celery. She sat down, they started talking and now, a year later, they’re still enjoying each other’s company.
Relationships, to me anyway, are an opportunity for you to learn things about one another and grow. During our interview, I was curious to find out what they had discovered about one another in the past year. Joshua pointed out that Nailah values family, is a natural leader, and is very future oriented, meaning she doesn’t dwell in the past. Nailah shared that Joshua is very patient. He is very helpful whenever a problem arises because he’s always willing to lend a hand and give advice. She also shared that he is very tender and loving.
Before ending the interview, I asked them to shed some light by offering some relationship advice:
“Communicate, communicate, communicate. Be honest with each other and be open to your significant other’s perspectives, views, and suggestions. Understand that you’re both growing, especially at this age. Be willing to compromise, prioritize quality time, and understand love languages.”
