The Secret to My Perfect Wing

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Georgia Southern chapter.

I get a lot of compliments on my winged eyeliner because it looks so effortless, it’s not too thick, and the wing is exact. I would love to say that it’s because I’ve got the magic touch, but in reality, the secret to my winged eyeliner is the use of cotton swabs and a very specific eyeliner.

Although I switch between Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Eyeliner and Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner, the secret to my perfect eyeliner is the Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner. I love to experiment with makeup but this is one of the very few products that I will buy over and over again. It’s not messy and the brush that comes with it helps create precise lines.

I have small eyes, so perfect eyeliner is essential to making my eyes look like they actually exist. The Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner is great if you want both thick lines and thin lines, and I also like applying it to my upper lash line and waterline.

So why do I use the Revlon Colorstay? The fact that I like to put on my lashes before my eyeliner makes it a little more difficult to get a smooth application from the Maybelline Eyestudio. It’s still possible and it still looks good, it just takes a little more time to apply. The Revlon Colorstay is a liquid eyeliner, so it goes on more smoothly and the tip makes making thin lines so easy.

Both eyeliners are essential for me, I haven’t been able to do my eyeliner as easily as I can these and I have been using both for years. Neither are expensive and both last FOREVER , but I can use the Maybelline Eyestudio for more so if you had to choose one, I would choose that one.

Hopefully this was helpful for all of you on a quest to achieve perfect winged eyeliner!
