Tells us a little about yourself and Jet Repair Service
– My name is Percy Smallwood, Jet Repair was founded in January of 2015. We repair phones, tablets, and computers.

What made you want to get in this business?
– Considering that all college students have phones, and most students have cracked screens, starting a repair business seemed to be the best solution.

Is it easy to start a business in college?
– To start any business you must have money. You must be prepared to lose money or barely break even at the start of your business. So I guess you could say yes, but in the long run, it is all worth it to see your returns on your investments.

What are some challenges you’ve faced in doing this?
– Competing with Apple would have to be the most challenging. When I first started my business I never had a problem with competing, but now that apple recycles screens from the older most, it has caused the price in screens to go up. By them doing this, they are able to charge a lower price, while I must raise my prices.

Is this something that you want to do as an occupation?
– I wouldn’t say as my occupation, but would most definitely like to keep doing it as a side job, or hobby.
