Next Year in Theatre

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Georgia Southern chapter.

This upcoming year, the Theatre and Performance program at Georgia Southern will be a host to a lot of great shows and opportunities. It’s gonna be a jam packed and fun year.

First up, we have a Michael Whittaker show titled “Crumbs from the Table of Joy,” which in engaging and thought-provoking, just like school should be!

Then we have a wonderfully exciting play called “She Kills Monsters,” which is based on Dungeons and Dragons.

During the spring semester, Georgia Southern will become the host to KCACTF (Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival) which is a convention for all collegiate theatre programs. Students will be able to participate in workshops and lectures and even have the opportunity to make connections with people for their future jobs.

The Theatre program is also going to allow student directors to put on a series of One Act that will be opened for the public to view.

Finally, we will close the season out with a performance of “Cabaret,” which is a music set in Germany. This will take place in the PAC (Performing Arts Center) and will feature a set number of dancers and musicians along with the cast.
