BEGINNER MAKEUP TIPS  Hello ladies! Since the beginning of last year, I’ve been wanting to learn how to do makeup in a subtle way. A complete beat is for BEASTS and I believed that I was just a “lil puppy” as a beginner. Watching countless YouTube makeup tutorials does not match up to the actual feat of applying makeup. Youtubers and Beauty Gurus—don’t let them shy you away! It is okay to start small and work your way up when it comes to makeup. You don’t have to buy luxury products as a beginner, nor do you have to buy a big beginner bundle. For starters, a makeover done at Sephora, MAC, or by one of your friends who knows how to remix your entire face on a smooth beat.  TIPS FOR STARTING SMALL:

1.    Foundation—Out of all the makeup products in the world, wearing a good foundation is the most important thing. This should be the priciest item of all your makeup products when you first begin to wear makeup. 2.    KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE!—This is essential for all makeup wears! (beginners & pros) This would reflect the wear of your makeup throughout the day. Dry? Oily?Combination? Is your skin getting oily after 4-6 hrs? Does your T-Zone become oily after hours? 3.    Start out wearing natural/neutral, soft looks on your eyes. You don’t want to do dramatic looks for your eyes that can’t be blended out! 4.    HIGHLIGHT YOUR BEST FEATURE!—What is the highest point on your face? What do all your peers compliment you on when you’re going out for the night? Dreamy eyes?Use eyeliner to make them pop. Is it your cheekbones? Use blush/highlighter to bring more attention to the apples of your face. Lips? Use colors that go well with your skin tone and are radiant.

 5. PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE!—The makeup world is a branch of bigger and greater things always happening. When did contour become a thing? After contouring, it was strobing. After strobing??? (TBC…) The makeup world is always evolving and there is always room to learn whether it is from your own personal experience or what you see your favorite Youtubershowcasing on social media. You can branch out of your own style of makeup, try something bold and different or subtle and sweet! It’s all in your hands and your makeup bag.
